Varicose Veins
Q. Since having three children by C-section, I have had severe problems with varicose veins. My veins continue to become visible, dilated, raised and even bumpy. I have varicose, reticular and spider veins that continue to get worse. Could this ever become a major problem and/or become so bad that it could take my life?

A. I don't claim to be a medical expert, but I've never heard of varicose veins becoming so severe that they could be life-threatening. Pregnancy does seem to worsen the condition as added weight gain, swelling and horror-mones do affect your whole body, veins included.
If your varicose veins are painful you should probably consult a vascular surgeon or a vein specialist. A surgeon or vein treatment center could also improve your veins on a cosmetic level, too.
